Translation

Iesus[i] dominus exspiravit[ii],
‘Heli’[iii] clamans animam Patri commendavit.
Latus eius lancea miles perforavit,
Terra ⟨tunc⟩ contremuit et sol obscuravit.

The Lord Jesus breathed his last breath,
and crying out ‘Heli’ he commended his spirit to the Father.
The soldier pierced his side with the lance,
the earth then trembled and the sun eclipsed.
