Gaude, sponsa cara dei,
Nam ut lux clara diei[1]
Solis datur lumine,
Sic tu facis orbem vere
Tuae pacis resplendere[2]
Lucis plenitudine.

Rejoice, dear bride of God,
because like the clear light of day
is given by the brightness of the Sun,
in the same way you truly make the Earth shine in the fullness of the light of your peace.

[1] diei] dei D-Mbs 3154, T

[2] resplendere] respledere D-Mbs 3154, C

This text was edited according to D-Mbs 3154, ff. 39v–40r. Only minor mistakes are found out in this motet: the copyist wrote in T dei (‘of God’) instead diei (‘of the day’) and forgot the abbreviation sign for a nasal consonant (n) in C in the word resplendere (‘to shine’). For a further commentary on this motet see the General Commentary.
